- Chemical Properties: Quartz glass is an acidic material. Except for hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid, it is completely inert to any other acid, making it an exceptional acid-resistant material.
- Thermal Properties: The coefficient of thermal expansion is extremely small—only 1/12 to 1/20 of standard glass. It withstands standard thermal shock tests (heated to 1200°C and plunged into cold water repeatedly without cracking).
- Operating Parameters: Continuous operating temperature up to 1100°C, softening temperature up to 1730°C.
- Electrical & Optical: High light transmittance and acts as an excellent electrical insulator.
